Lincoln-Way East showed why it could be in contention for another Class 3A state title this season with a big performance at the Knights Invitational at Lincoln-Way Central on Saturday, April 6.

In their opening event of the outdoor season, the Griffins won six events and scored 187 points. Glenbrook South (135.5 points) placed second, Central (119.5) was third, followed by Lincoln-Way West (99). Providence (83) and Mother McAuley (66) rounded out the six-team field.
