Mardi Gras celebrations started a little early this year at Mokena Community Public Library District. The library played host to a packed room of around 50 people for Mo’ Beat Blues performance Saturday, March 2, to get the community in the right mood leading up to the day of festivities that traditionally fill the day before the start of Lent, otherwise known as Fat Tuesday.
