It hasn’t been the best of seasons for the Lincoln-Way East boys basketball team. But no one can question the toughness of the Griffins.

East hung in with first-place Bolingbrook for much of the game Friday, Feb. 14, before falling 60-45 in Frankfort.

Prentiss Nixon scored a game-high 20 points, with eight of them in the fourth quarter, to help the Raiders improve to 17-4 and 10-1 in the SouthWest Suburban Conference Blue. East, meanwhile, fell to 6-16, 1-10.
