Every locale, from the biggest city to the tiniest hamlet, has citizens forever associated with it. They range as widely as political figures, great doers of good, and simply folks who are so unique as to forever belong to that place. These rare personages are remembered years after they’re gone and retain a special place in the hearts of those who know them. Place and person become inseparable, and someone who could be called “pure Mokena” was Dick McGovney.
